All About 1918 Cellars

With Castle Farms’ 100 year celebration back in 2018, came the grand opening of its winery, 1918 Cellars. The winery was named after the year the Castle was originally founded by Albert Loeb. Since the tasting room’s opening in 2018, the wine selection has grown to have 11 different types of wine, from whites to reds, from sweet to dry along with seasonal hard ciders. 1918 Cellars provides a variety of unique, delicious wine that is available in the Gift Shop year-round during the Castle’s regular hours and in the 1918 Cellars Wine Tasting Room, May through October. This year, 1918 Cellars’ hours will extend to 8pm on Wednesday nights, so that guests have the option to enjoy an evening tasting of our wine or hard cider and participate in special 1918 Cellars events.

Our Serenity Red and Birch Lake White wines are the favorites of those who visit 1918 Cellars. In addition to these classics, 1918 Cellars offers a brut-style Reflection as well as a sparkling Visionary. Check out our entire wine selection here.

With the winery, comes a variety of events held in the Tasting Room. 1918 Cellars proudly partners with Cottage Pottery once a month, bringing events such as a Canvas Paint & Sip, as well as Pottery & Wine. Each of which tie in the joy of creating a beautiful piece, while enjoying a glass of one of 1918 Cellars’ original wines. For those looking for a more active experience, 1918 Cellars also hosts Wine & Yoga throughout the spring and early fall. This event is perfect for anyone looking to wind down with a glass of wine, while winding the body for ultimate relaxation.
