Event organization and customer service have always been a part of Autumn’s life, so it is only fitting that she has advanced so well in her position here at Castle Farms as our Lead Assistant Venue Coordinator.
Autumn was born in Charlevoix and moved to the Upper Peninsula at the age of 5. She was raised in the UP and started her schooling and career there until she made the decision to move back to Charlevoix in 2014 with her family.
Her degree in Business Administration with a minor in Events Planning has lent itself well to the multiple fundraising events she has planned. The first event she remembers planning was a benefit concert for a family who was left without a husband and father after he had passed away. Since then, she has found her niche in event planning and customer service roles, including a second position she holds at the local sky diving business. There she is the Group Sales Manager, helping clients plan group events around their sky diving experience.
Autumn’s role as Lead Assistant Venue Coordinator puts her in a position as the go to person during events and wedding receptions. She checks in on each room and makes sure the other Assistants have what they need. She also assists in the Wedding Office by contacting vendors for upcoming wedding and giving them useful information about set-up.
While Autumn truly enjoys working, and counts her two jobs into her hobbies and activities, she does leave time for some fun outside of the work day. With four kids, one dog and two chinchillas, her home life is exciting. Her and her husband have a band, in which she sings and plays, and you can imagine they incorporate the kids into their jam sessions!
As Autumn develops her position as Lead Assistant Venue Coordinator here, she is most looking forward to bringing her strong sense of customer service into the role. She hopes to help her team by taking high pressure responsibilities off their shoulders. And even more exciting to Autumn is getting to be involved in weddings! “It is an honor to be a part of such a big day,” says Autumn, “I still tear up during vows and speeches!”
