It’s jingle all the rails as Castle Farms of Charlevoix transforms itself with an indoor Holiday Train Display for the entire Christmas season. Michigan’s winter weather won’t stop the clickety-clack of the railroad tracks for this interactive train display beginning Thanksgiving Weekend and continuing through Christmas Eve.
While our outdoor trains are now off the tracks, this indoor holiday train extravaganza promises lots of fun for the entire family.
We’ve transformed the Castle halls as well. Decorations hang all along the doorways and gallery, and toy soldiers keep guard along the windowsills. In the midst of it all, the Castle is putting together a set up of unique Christmas trains and bridges. In addition to the variety of model train displays, there are riding trains for little ones.
G-scale and HO-scale models are out for display, including the legendary Polar Express with its miniature village of houses. The snowy scenery sparkles as carolers sing, ice skaters waltz along a frozen pond, and sleighs zip across a snowy landscape. You’ll be enchanted by the magical mountain, a miniature set-up of the North Pole itself. Tour Santa’s Workshop, Light Shop, Reindeer Flight School, and Santa’s Bell Repair. Look close, and you’ll see Santa’s sleigh (and the reindeer, too!).
Make some long-lasting memories at the Castle’s Holiday Train Display. Running Thanksgiving Weekend through Christmas Eve 2017, the Holiday Train Display is included in admission with Castle tours (Monday-Saturday). Winter tour prices: $7 per person.
