Annual Admission Pass

Admission to Castle Farms is offered through an Annual Admission Pass, available for purchase online or in the Welcome Center.

Each pass includes access to the self-guided historical tour on the day of your visit and unlimited visits through December 31 of the current year.

When purchasing your Annual Admission Pass, select the date you would like your passes prepared — not necessarily the date you plan to visit.

Daily Self-Guided Historical Tours

Explore Castle Farms at your own pace with a self-guided experience designed for all ages. Move through the property and discover exhibits, gardens, and interactive features throughout the grounds.

Highlights include the hedge maze, outdoor model railroad, Reflection Pond, and unique features found throughout the castle property.

No reservations are required, allowing you to enjoy the experience on your own schedule.

Daily Guided Historical Tours

Guided tours are available almost daily from June through mid-September and offer a deeper look into the history of Castle Farms.

The experience includes a historical video, guided walking tour, and insights into the property’s evolution over more than a century.

Reservations are suggested but not required.

Public guided tours at Castle Farms

Tram Tours

Tram rides are offered during the Northern Michigan summer season and are included with admission. This experience provides a relaxed way to explore the property.

Tram tours are weather dependent and may vary based on private event scheduling.

Accessibility

Castle Farms is a historic property originally constructed between 1916 and 1919 and later restored. The grounds and buildings include a variety of accessibility features designed to support visitors of all ages and abilities.

Elevators provide access to select upper-level spaces, and accessible restrooms are available throughout the property. Exterior pathways and driveways allow movement between many areas of the grounds.

Wheelchairs and walkers may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
