Venue Coordinator
Job Summary:
Venue Coordinators are assigned clients two months out from the event date, becoming those clients’ main contact at Castle Farms through their event day. For wedding couples, you must answer questions related to the venue and their vendors’ service here, give recommendations on their unique room layout based on what they have at their wedding and how our venue is laid out, receive information in the Set-Up Packet on their ceremony and timeline plans and use that to run rehearsal the day prior and keep everything moving the day of their wedding for a timely ceremony start and smooth reception. Coordinators often leave around dinner time when the evening on site staff & Castle Farms bartenders take over for the remainder of the evening. Coordinators will work with anywhere between 4 to 20 clients at a time depending on the season.
Job Duties:
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, and meetings
- Accurately log all communication with clients in our Client database
- Process payments via credit card and check in our Client database
- Send and Receive Set-Up Packets, reviewing information in detail
- Run rehearsals the day prior to the wedding
- Coordinate weddings and occasionally corporate events
- Present information to all departments concerning upcoming events during weekly meetings
- Cross-train in alternate departments to assist on an as-needed basis
- Assist with office organization and updating documents annually
- Assist in planning Castle Sponsored Events as assigned (i.e. Grand Wedding Expo, Story Times, Holiday Events)
- Communicate event details to Events Director prior to event
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required
- Prior experience (1 year) in weddings or events industry, preferred
- Prior experience (1 year) in customer service, preferred

Working Conditions:
Shared office space with other Venue Coordinators and Sales Team. Desk, phone, computer, cabinet space provided to each Venue Coordinator. Office days usually comprise of desk work while event days will involve indoor/outdoor environments, and you will be on your feet for much of the 10-12 hour shift.

Schedule:
- 6-8 hour shifts on weekdays, 8-12 hour shifts on weekends
- 40 hours per week May through October, between 20-30 hours per week November through April

Castle Pub & Event Bartender
Job Summary:
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages to
customers, ensuring a positive experience, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety and
regulatory guidelines. You must be friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about drink
preparation and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
● Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, take drink orders, and provide
recommendations if needed.
● Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard
recipes or customer preferences.
● Handle cash and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and
cleaning counters.
● Monitor customers’ alcohol consumption to ensure responsible drinking and to comply
with legal regulations.
● Restock and replenish bar inventory, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
● Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
● Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service and a positive customer
experience.
● Create a welcoming atmosphere, engage with customers, and promote customer
satisfaction.
● Maintain knowledge of drink recipes, the latest trends in beverages, and safety
procedures.
● Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and
beverages.

● Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the bar, cleaning, and

Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Previous bartending experience (preferred but not required).
● Knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation, and bartending techniques.
● Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and
professional manner.
● Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to handle cash, process transactions, and operate POS systems.
● Basic math skills for handling cash and providing accurate change.
● Knowledge of Michigan liquor laws and regulations.
● Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.

Pub/ Event Bar-back
Job Summary:
As a Bar-back, you will assist bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stocked, clean, and
well-organized. Your primary role is to keep the bar running efficiently so that bartenders can
focus on serving customers. You will help maintain a clean and safe working environment while
contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
● Stock the bar with alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other supplies.
● Ensure that bartenders have everything they need to serve drinks quickly and efficiently.
● Clean and sanitize the bar area, including countertops, sinks, and floors.
● Remove empty bottles and glassware from the bar and tables to maintain cleanliness
and organization.
● Refill ice bins and replenish other supplies as needed.
● Help wash glassware, utensils, and tools used by bartenders.
● Dispose of trash and recycling and ensure the proper disposal of waste.
● Assist in preparing the bar area before opening and closing duties after the shift.
● Help set up and break down bar stations for events or shifts.
● Monitor and ensure the stock levels of liquor, beer, and other beverages are adequate.
● Assist bartenders with creating garnishes, prepping ingredients, and ensuring everything
is in place for smooth operations.
● Handle kegs, cases of liquor, and other heavy items, ensuring safety when lifting or
carrying.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following health and safety
guidelines.
● Collaborate with bartenders, servers, and other staff to ensure timely and efficient
service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting (preferred but not required).
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs or boxes of
