Join us for Stitchin’ Season: The Deer Widow’s Quilting Retreat, a four-day creative escape designed just for you. Whether you’re looking to make progress on a project, learn something new, or simply enjoy a few peaceful days filled with fabric, laughter, and inspiration—this is your moment.

Monday: 8am-10pm
Tuesday: 6am-10pm
Wednesday: 6am-10pm
Thursday: 6am-6pm

Fabric:
a. Background fabric, including pillow backing: 1.25 yards
b. Fabric F – Either 6” x WOF of 1 print or charm squares of several prints
c. Fabric C – Either 6” x WOF of 1 print or charm squares of several prints
d. Fabric E – Either 6” x WOF of 1 print or charm squares of several prints

  1. Stiletto
  2. Hot Hemmer (suggested for pillow backing)
  3. Ruler: 5” or 6” square
  4. Rotary Cutter
  5. Cutting Mat (12” x 18” OR 18” x 24”)
  6. Iron (personal/travel size)
  7. Iron pad (personal/travel size)
  8. Thread (you’ll be seeing your stitching on the background fabric)
  9. Needles (80/12 or a 90/14)
  10. Sewing machine in good working order, with all feet
  11. Basic Sewing Kit*
    Before class: cut all your fabric pieces as outlined below and label them as indicated …call us if you have any questions!
    Background:
    a. Cut 48 squares at 4” for the curved pieces of your windows
    b. Cut 2 rectangles at 10” x 14.5” for your pieced backing
    Fabric F – Cut 5 squares at 4.25” (see diagram for placement)
    Fabric C – Cut 1-4 squares at 5” (see diagram for placement, these can be either the same fabric or different fabrics)
    Fabric E – Cut 4 squares at 4.75” (see diagram for placement)
    *Basic Sewing Kit: small scissors for clipping threads, seam ripper, pins, pincushion,
    marking utensil(s), thread, empty bobbin, extra needles, extra rotary blade
