The Great War, as WWI is often called, was a huge influencer on the life and times of Loeb Farms. The armistice was signed on November 11, 1918, the same year that construction was completed for Loeb Farms and the Loeb family home.
The original blacksmith shop has been converted to a museum honoring the American involvement in WWI as well as daily life in that time period. The original forge and iron wall rings to tie up the horses are still in place. Copies of ads found in the 1918 Sears & Roebuck catalog are displayed along with the actual item.
Step back in time with collections of toys, kitchen items, and daily life from the Great War era.
