Castle Farms Band Battle – Band Applications

Think your band has what it takes to command the stage? Castle Farms is now accepting applications for the Castle Farms Band Battle, a live audition-style competition where local and regional bands will perform in front of a panel of radio professionals and industry musicians for the chance to win a paid performance at one of Northern Michigan’s premier event venues.
To apply, complete the online application form and submit a link to a video of your band performing either an original song or a cover. Selected bands will be invited to perform a 15 minute live audition set at Castle Farms on Wednesday, August 5, between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
The winning band will receive an $800 paid performance in Castle Farms’ historic King’s Great Hall on Sunday, August 23, performing a full concert from 7:00–9:00 PM.
Audition Details
- Live audition performance: 15 minutes
- Assigned performance time and location
- Perform before a live audience and professional judging panel
- Rotating audience format throughout the event
Band Requirements
- Complete the online application by Tuesday, July 21
- Submit a video link featuring your band performing
- Be available to audition on Wednesday, August 5
- Perform a full 15 minute set
- Adhere to assigned performance times
- Provide your own instruments and sound equipment (lighting if available)
- Be available to perform on Sunday, August 23 if selected as the winner

Application Acknowledgement
By submitting an application, participating bands acknowledge that:
- This is a live audition event.
- Judges’ scores will determine the winning band.
- Audience voting may be used as supplemental input or as a tie-breaker.
- The winning band must be available to perform on Sunday, August 23.
- Bands are responsible for providing their own instruments and sound equipment for both the audition and the winner’s performance.
