Pet Adoption Fair & 5K Fun Run

Come meet a new best friend, enjoy local pet vendors, professional pet photos, and more!
Castle Farms’ first ever Pet Adoption Fair & 5k Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2022. All proceeds are to benefit the Charlevoix Area Humane Society and AC Paw! The race begins at 9:00 am and the pet fair is open from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (entry gates will be closed from 9:00 am – 9:45 am to ensure the safety of race participants.)
Professional pet photo sessions are available with pre-registration for $20 per session (more details below).
Registration is required for the 5k Fun Run/Walk. Pre-register online for a reduced rate or arrive between 7:30 am and 8:45 am to register at the event.

Pet Photos with Paxton Photography:
Bring in your fur baby for a mini photo shoot with Meg Paxton of Paxton Photography in the Butterfly Garden! Sessions are $20 for 5 minutes with Meg, and you will receive 5 edited photos delivered digitally after the event. Please bring well-behaved pets. Pets may need to stay leashed, but leashes will be edited out. Also, Meg will have some people-food hot dog treat distractions for those friskier fur-friends, but consider bringing your own treats if your pet has allergies.
Pre-register in advance online to secure your pet’s spot! Sessions will take place between 10:00 am and 11:30 am, and between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Choose the morning or afternoon time frame when registering online and arrive during that time frame. If there is still availability to reserve a session that day, payments can be made by CASH ONLY at the shoot location.

5k Fun Run/Walk:
The 5k race begins promptly at 9:00 am. Entry gate will be closed from 9:00 am – 9:45 am for safety of race participants. Please arrive no later than 8:45 am. This is a dog-friendly, no-frills race (no t-shirt or professional timing system) to help support local animal shelters/rescues! All proceeds benefit the participating shelters/rescues. All dogs must be friendly and on a leash.

COURSE: Fairly flat two lap course through the grounds of Castle Farms—majority on pavement but may be some wet grass/gravel areas.
