Brittany says: “If you are having alcohol at your reception, we highly encourage you to consider arranging transportation for your guests. Whether you hire a shuttle service or simply put out a sign with a local taxi number, it is good to help your guests make safe decisions. Even if you are not having alcohol at your wedding, you may want to consider hiring a shuttle service to transport just you and the wedding party around for photos.
Some transportation companies offer split shift packages where they will shuttle guests to the ceremony and then have a resting period and come back later in the evening to shuttle guests back to their hotels. Another option is to hire a transportation service only for the end of the night; guests would drive to the ceremony and then take the shuttle back to their hotels. Your guests are welcome to leave their cars at the Castle overnight; we ask that they pick cars up between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm the following morning.
Midnight Madness, Mackinaw Shuttle & Limousine, and Mackinaw Trolley are all great service options to shuttle you and/or your guests. If you decide not to offer a transportation service, then we suggest you provide a sign with numbers to local taxi services like Charlevoix Airport Shuttle & Limousine or Oma’s Taxi Service.
